We can help you find that trophy buck!

2023Bucks

Deer hunts for Northern Maine giants are conducted in November.  We offer fully guided deer hunts. We have many faithful hunters who consider our camp “theirs”.

We use stand, still-hunting and tracking methods and perseverance is the key to success on these elusive trophies. Guided hunters may look for 50% to 75% success, on BIG mature bucks which are good odds in this area.

Incidental bear hunting is allowed at this time, and the hunt can be a combination opportunity, especially the first week as bears seek their dens soon after that.  The November bear tag must be purchased with the big game hunting license required for rifle deer hunting.

Youth hunters 12 and older are welcome.

Rundown of Semi Guided Whitetail hunts:
You arrive any time after 2:30 PM on Sunday.  Departure Saturday Morning by 9 am. Your guide will be there to greet you, walk you around and show you the operation so you have a better understanding of what goes on and where everything is located without question.  Then your guide will help you bring your bags into your own personal cabin for groups of 4 or more or a private room for those single/double hunters. (See “Cabin rentals” for housing details).   If you need to shoot your equipment, we will try to get that taken care of immediately. At dinner we will have a little briefing on what to expect on your week.  Usually, a hot quick breakfast in the wee hours of 4:30-5 am and a packed lunch bag for the day.  your guide will have waters and your packed lunch.  In the morning, we will decide which stands are our best options with the wind that day.  Your guide will walk you into your stand and that’s where you will sit for a half day or full day.  During the rut, it’s important to put the time in the stands for that best opportunity as the mature bucks are moving all day.  Once the day is over, we will get you back to your cabins and get warmed up and ready for dinner. Repeat until buck is harvested.
